Canberra Reptile Zoo is a not-for-profit association dedicated to research, conservation, education and exhibits reptiles from Australia and around the world. They address issues such as climate change, invasive species, evolution and ecosystem threats. As Australia has approximately 880 species of reptile's this is a very interesting subject spanning 300 million years of history.
With over 50 different species of reptiles and frogs on display, the Canberra Reptile Zoo is large enough to be impressive but still small enough to have a very strong hands on approach. Come to the Zoo and touch a python, or dragons and talk face to face with the keepers! See all the reptiles in there naturalistic environments whilst getting a guided tour and finishing the experience with a hands on talk catered to your topic requirements, including curriculum subjects.
Canberra Reptile Zoo also has a retail shop for gifts and souvenirs.
