The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan

The Australian Botanic Garden is the home of Australia's new PlantBank seed banking and plant conservation facility. The various lakes and open Cumberland Plain Woodland provide a wonderful base for exploring and teaching bush awareness and seeing plant conservation in action. Themed displays include Connections Garden, Living Laboratory, Fruit Loop (Bush Food) and Big Idea garden.

Students can meet the scientists, learn about the Plant Conservation story through the permanent exhibitions of the Diversity Wall and Living Laboratory and participate in outdoor excursions of the Cumberland Plain Woodland.  All lessons are closely linked to the NSW Board of Studies syllabus outcomes and new lessons are being created in line with the new NSW syllabus for the Australian Curriculum. They are conducted by highly qualified and experienced Trust staff.

PlantBank offers interactive video conference lessons and iPad discovery excursions.
